High Fives Foundation to provide, actor in American Sniper, Jacob Schick with $1,755.00 to conquer the slopes of Alpine Meadows.
Jake Schick is a third generation Marine who epitomizes service and sacrifice. After a triple-stacked tank mine detonated below his vehicle in Al Anbar Province, Iraq in 2004, Jake suffered compound fractures in his left leg and left arm; multiple skin, ligament and bone losses; varying burns; partial loss of his left hand and arm; amputation below the knee of his right leg, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Before his injury, Jake has fond memories of skiing with his brother every year. After his injury he thought that would be an activity that he would never have the opportunity to experience again, but through his work at ATF and with the partnership of High Five Foundation Jake is excited about the opportunity to return to the slopes!
To simply state that Jake is doing well is a gross understatement. Jacob has been training with David Vabora from Adaptive Training Foundation, and he is in some of the best shape of his life.
Jacob was in the movie American Sniper, and now that he’s conquered Hollywood, he wants to conquer the slopes of Alpine Meadows.
