Lee Canyon Community Bike Day

Lee Canyon, NV

High Fives Foundation teamed up with Lee Canyon for a day of adaptive mountain biking, community connection, and pure fun on the trails, just an hour outside of Las Vegas.

The event brought together adaptive athletes, supporters, and local riders for a chance to demo High Fives’ fleet of Bowhead aMTB bikes, including the Reach, RX, and Rogue. Whether attendees were testing an adaptive mountain bike for the first time or exploring new terrain with friends, the day was full of laughter, turns, and a whole lot of stoke.

“My favorite moment was seeing the athletes start to understand how the Bowhead’s articulation works and have so much fun making turns, even on flat ground,” said Stefano Shishido, Special Projects Manager at High Fives Foundation.

For Stefano, the day captured the spirit of accessibility and adventure.
“It was awesome knowing there are such incredible and accessible trails less than one hour from the Strip,” he said. “FUN” is how he summed up the atmosphere in one word.

Between scenic laps, the group paused to take in the moment, wild horses grazing on the ski runs and the mountain sun spilling across the desert slopes.
“It’s so important for people to try adaptive equipment before buying or applying for a grant,” Stefano added. “Events like this make that possible.”

From first rides to shared smiles, Lee Canyon proved what happens when access meets opportunity.
