PUSH FOREWARD GOLF FUNDRAISER

“Push Foreward 2020 was far more than we could have imagined. We sold out, we pushed foreward, & most importantly we raised money for those who have suffered life-altering injuries. 2020 has been one heck of a year, but despite all of the obstacles, it was totally worth it . Since we started three years ago, we have been able to donate over $125,000 to the high fives foundation! A truly incredible feat by two people just trying to make a positive difference in the lives of those whose situations hit so close to home”.

The History Behind the event

ON DEC. 21, 2016, 24-YEAR-OLD NICK ROMANO, AN AVID SPORTS ENTHUSIAST FELL FROM A CHAIR LIFT AT SEVEN SPRINGS MOUNTAIN RESORT, BREAKING HIS T5  VERTEBRAE. THE IMPACT WITH THE HARD PACKED SNOW BELOW CAUSED PERMANENT DAMAGE TO HIS SPINAL CORD. HE UNDERWENT TWO MAJOR SURGERIES WITHIN 48 HOURS TO DECOMPRESS HIS SPINAL CORD AND REALIGN HIS SPINE FOR RECOVERY. NICK TOOK LITTLE TIME TO FEEL SORRY FOR HIMSELF. THROUGHOUT HIS INJURY HE WORKED INCREDIBLY HARD, ATTENDING RIGOROUS INPATIENT REHABILITATION. NICK’S PARENTS, SISTER HILlARY, AND HIGH FIVES WERE AT HIS SIDE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.
