We are thrilled to welcome our new intern, Lyla, to the High Fives Foundation team! Lyla is a fourth-year Business Administration major at Cal Poly SLO, specializing in Marketing and Management. With a strong passion for nonprofits and philanthropy, Lyla brings a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication to our mission.
This summer, Lyla will be assisting with our social media efforts and helping out with events and camps. We are confident that her skills, enthusiasm, and dedication will make a significant impact on our team and the community we serve.
Lyla’s excitement for joining High Fives Foundation is fueled by her personal experiences and deep commitment to helping individuals regain their ability to enjoy outdoor activities. As a caregiver for a quadriplegic individual in San Luis Obispo, who was injured in a mountain biking accident, Lyla witnessed firsthand the importance of empowerment and healing. This experience has further ignited her passion for supporting adaptive sports and the incredible work we do at High Fives Foundation.
In her free time, Lyla loves running long distances with friends, trying out new recipes, hiking, and expressing herself creatively through art. She also enjoys playing pickleball, adding yet another fun and active hobby to her repertoire.
