Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation Supports Adaptive Wakesurfing

We’re excited to share that Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation (TMRF) has awarded High Fives Foundation a $5,000 grant to support our 2025 Adaptive Wakesurf Program on Lake Tahoe! TMRF’s commitment to community and outdoor recreation aligns perfectly with our mission to provide adaptive athletes with unforgettable on-water experiences. This grant will help us expand access to wakesurfing, ensuring more athletes can ride the waves, push their limits, and have fun.

Thank you, TMRF, for believing in the power of adaptive sports! We can’t wait for another incredible season on the lake.

Meet Surf Athlete, Jeff Andrews

Jeff was a snowboarder living the outdoor adventure life in Lake Tahoe when he experienced an unfortunate accident at SugarBowl Ski Resort. He went off a jump and landed on his neck breaking his C6 vertebrae leaving him without the use of his legs and limited dexterity in his hands and arms. According to Jeff, surfing is the best thing he’s done since his injury and probably the best thing he’s done in his entire life.
