Parlor Skis, Innovating Adaptive Skiing

New Video Release – Watch How these Parlor Skis are Made

At High Fives, our mission is to empower adaptive athletes with the tools they need to reach their fullest potential on the mountain. One of the most exciting ways we accomplish this is through our ongoing partnership with Parlor Skis. Over the years, Parlor has played a pivotal role in creating custom skis that are built specifically for the unique needs of adaptive athletes including Adam Volpe and Dan Chagnon. Each custom ski is built with care and precision to ensure that every athlete gets the best experience possible. One of the key features of these skis is their increased stiffness—particularly in the ski’s stiff zone underfoot and a lengthened tail rocker. These adjustments ensure the ski performs at its peak, no matter the terrain or conditions.

At the heart of this collaboration is Parlor’s dedication to sharing the joy of skiing with as many people as possible. Their charitable partnerships and donations reflect this commitment to making the mountains accessible to all. For years, Parlor and High Fives have worked together to refine adaptive ski designs, receiving invaluable feedback from some of the world’s top adaptive athletes.

“Parlor’s partnership with high fives is one of our longest and certainly one of our most fun. The amazing energy, commitment to the outdoors, passion for spreading joy and helping others makes the High Fives a dream to work with. Many of the athletes and partners we have build skis and boards for form their organization we are lucky enough to count as close friends. We are looking forward to growing this partnership and bringing more smiles on the hill to more of their athletes and friends!”

– Mark Wallace, Owner and Manager of Parlor Skis & Snowboards

The essence of this partnership is a commitment to creating access and opportunity for adaptive athletes.

As Roy Tuscany, CEO & Founder of High Fives, notes…

“Creating access is part of the DNA and the inclusive mindset of the organization. Working directly with Parlor to create accessible options for individuals within the adaptive community to get specifically designed skis that meet their needs is a solution we’re excited to offer through this partnership.”
