On September 26th through 29th 2019 the Third Annual U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships powered by The University of St. Augustine for Health and Science hosted by High Fives and Stoke for Life Foundation will be held at Oceanside Pier in beautiful Oceanside Ca. Athletes with disabilities ranging from paraplegia, quadriplegia, amputation, blindness, and more will all be competing for the U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing crown.

The U.S. Open ASC will be hosting over 70 disabled athletes from up to 14 nations worldwide. This will be the third annual event that has helped the growth of the sport worldwide and has set a new standard for professional competitive adaptive surfing.

This event has set new standards in the Adaptive Surfing world by being the first all adaptive surfing competition to offer cash prizes to all podium finishers in all divisions (13 divisions over $20,000 dollars in prize money). Also, the U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships is the first all adaptive surf competition to install a priority heat structure, this was a big step for the adaptive surfing world.
