The Arcade Belt Program
#highfivesathlete Landon McGauley graduates college for his 5th belt goal
Goal 5: Graduate college and complete journalism program.
Up in the Great White North (aka Canada), Landon McGauley has been hard at work. He kept up the momentum from his first four belt goals to crush his 5th with flying colors. Earlier this year, Landon got a degree in Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
School really taught me a lot about myself. It was really tough and long hours but I was able to stay motivated and get through it!Landon McGauley on his time at BCIT
Landon’s time at BCIT not only rewarded him with a degree, but with lifelong friends as well. Since graduating, coinciding with his fourth belt goal of obtaining a VISA, Landon has come down to the United States. His education has been serving him well, as he is now a part-time employee here at the foundation. Writing, creating content, and helping keep the stoke high is what Landon does best! He just finished a post about our recent Northstar Mountain Bike Camp, check it out here!
When he isn’t in the office, you can catch “Lando” outside absolutely shredding! From the classroom to the mountains, there’s nowhere to go but up for the young Canadian. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him!
The Arcade Belt Program
The Arcade Belt Program was put in place to provide our athletes with a system for setting goals. Similar to a karate belt system, athletes move through the ranks when they complete goals they set for themselves and receive a belt with stars corresponding to the goal number they accomplish.
