From July 29 to August 2, Return to Dirt & High Fives Foundation hosted the annual Colorado Camp, a week that proved once again the power of adaptive adventure. Over five days, 11 athletes came together to share unforgettable experiences, push their limits, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
The camp featured three full days of activities, including:
- Two days of UTV riding through Colorado’s rugged backcountry
- A day of fly fishing, where every athlete reeled in a catch
- Paragliding adventures, with four athletes taking flight for breathtaking views above the Rockies
This camp wasn’t just about sports, it was about connection, teamwork, and shared achievement. As Tim Burr, Return to Dirt, put it:
“This camp had all the markers of success including time behind the wheel, everyone caught fish, paragliding was exciting. On top of that, this camp showed this group’s ability to work together and contribute to positive experiences for every athlete involved.”
Return to Dirt is about more than access, it’s about empowerment. By giving adaptive athletes the opportunity to explore, challenge themselves, and support one another, camps like this create confidence and community that reach far beyond the trail, river, or sky.
High Five to the athletes, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who made the 2025 Colorado Return to Dirt Camp a success. Because of you, freedom in the outdoors continues to expand for adaptive athletes everywhere. @bellhelmets @grundens @monsterenergy @racelinewheels @smithoptics @swiftinstitutenv @suregriphc @xentechaspen @yokohamatire
