The Arcade Belt Program
Walking a 5k in 19 degree snowy weather?! #highfivesathlete Desiree Rosdahl doesn’t let that stop her!
Goal #1: Walk a 5k.
A lot of us may look outside on a cold wintery day, see that it’s snowing outside and think, “Meh, maybe a good day to stay inside”. Not Desiree.
You may recognize Desiree from her second belt goal where she returned to work as a nurse. Why the flip flop of belt goals? Well, weather and life got in the way a bit, and she had to push back her 5k. But she’s no quitter and returned to this goal as soon as she could!
Desiree crossed the finish line with a time of 1:09:32, pretty awesome especially with fresh snow and cozy temperatures of…19 degrees! She was accompanied by her wife and friends which made for a pretty awesome day.
With goals of coaching and hiking in her near future, we’re stoked for what Desiree is up to!
The Arcade Belt Program
The Arcade Belt Program was put in place to provide our athletes with a system for setting goals. Similar to a karate belt system, athletes move through the ranks when they complete goals they set for themselves and receive a belt with stars corresponding to the goal number they accomplish.
