Ezra McPhail
In December 2011, a young Ezra McPhail was playing hockey in hopes of receiving a college scholarship. During a game Ezra was checked into the boards by an opponent who was ducked down to one knee. The contact resulted in Ezra going head first into the boards, breaking his back at T5/6 causing partial paralysis. Since his 2011 injury Ezra has worked incredibly hard to gain independence, and he has found that freedom in skiing. In September, 2014 Ezra applied and received a grant for ski lessons and travel to DSUSA Far West at Alpine Meadows. Stay tuned for updates on Ezra’s trip!
