Luke was out on a desert trip with his family in April 2015. He went for a ride by himself and got into a head-on collision with a dune buggy in April 2015. From there, he was lifeflighted to Palm Springs, where he spent two weeks in ICU, and then was transferred to Radys children’s in San Diego where he was in rehab for four months.
