The belt program, which is similar to a karate belt system, rewards High Fives athletes with an Arcade belt containing a new gold star for each milestone achieved. This framework is designed to provide clarity, support, competition and inspiration for others as these athletes work to rebuild their lives.

Jeff Andrews suffered a C6 burst fracture with associated spinal cord injury and transverse process fractures at the L1, L2, and L3 levels, resulting in quadriplegia at the C5-C7 level in a snowboarding accident that occurred at Sugar Bowl Resort in Norden, CA on March 15, 2014. Jeff’s plans to become as independent as his condition will permit and return to the most active lifestyle that he can.

All of Jeff’s goals in the High Fives – Arcade Goal Program revolve around fitness and working toward an independent lifestyle. Jeff has accomplished each of his goals of his five goals.“My last year working out at the CR Johnson Healing Center gave me a great foundation for my therapy in Maui this year. I’ve once again been working out 5 days a week with Alejandra Monsalve and Sarah Callahan at Body Wellness Hawaii. I’ve gained a lot of strength in my core, lower back and quads. Thank you High Fives for this amazing opportunity!” – Jeff
