Hello from Alaska
The summer season is treating the team well, from training at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs. To training at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, we have been working with our psychologists and sports performance directors. Keeping our minds and bodies set on PeongChang2018.
Many members of the team have been staying on the snow constantly skiing and keeping active with a single goal in mind. We have been training with our heart rates in mind preparing our bodies for a good season with high pressure situations. After preparing ourselves and getting our off season schedule prepared in Colorado Springs in June. In July we will be traveling to Chula Vista for mid off season preparedness camp to make sure our bodies are physically prepared for the season. Then in September jumping right into training in Chile to keep the edge over our competition.
As for the start of the summer, and the little bit of time we get off every year has been going fantastic. In Alaska I have been biking just about every day and fishing about every other day. Keeping in shape and prepared for a great future in cycling and guiding. Getting a chance to take people fishing in the untamed Alaskan waters has been a dream of mine for years. I cant wait for the opportunity to take out people with disabilities who don’t often get the chance to experience this great opportunity.
