The CR Johnson Healing Center has Added Three New Classes, Starting in June!

Kids Park & Pipe Performance Training 

On the roster is the particularly exciting Kids Park & Pipe Performance Training starting with a kick off class for just $20 (includes a free CR Johnson Healing Center shirt and High Fives sticker pack) on Thursday, June 12 from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

The CR Johnson Healing Center is excited to re-launch Kids Park & Pipe Performance Training with Vic DeMaio – a group fitness class dedicated to helping kids (ages 8-16) maintain their winter skills in the terrain park and halfpipe during the summer months. Vic DeMaio, fitness specialist and Coach at Squaw Free, will host a kick off class on Thursday, June 12 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at the CR Johnson Healing Center for just $20, which comes with a CR Johnson Healing Center t-shirt and High Fives sticker pack. Vic’s fun-filled class will incorporate Endo Boards, a slack line, BOSU balls, medicine balls and more to build core strength, create lean upper and lower body muscles and work on balance. The kick off class will be capped at the first 10 kids to sign up online at www.crjohnson.org/schedule, and any questions can be directed to steve@highfivesfoundation.com.

“Coaching kids at Squaw Free and Woodward Tahoe, I see where kids can progress with some basic training,” said Vic DeMaio. “I have developed a program that will really help kids stay conditioned over the summer and have them come into next ski season prepared.”

Mountain Bike Performance Training

The CR Johnson Healing Center is excited to have Spencer Cruttenden of Elemental Back & Body return to the CR Johnson Healing Center to introduce a new class to the facilities lineup of great summer evening classes – Mountain Bike Performance Training.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Chiropractor and avid mountain biker Spencer Cruttenden of Elemental Back & Body will add an entirely new class to the CR Johnson Healing Center’s list of weekly evening classes – Mountain Bike Performance Training. Spencer’s class will take place every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30pm throughout the summer. For a drop-in rate of just $10 class participants will work their way through a circuit-style routine leading to stronger legs, a stronger core and better balance and agility. Start beating your riding partners up the trail this summer by signing up for this high intensity class online at www.crjohnson.org/schedule.

To kick off Wednesday Mountain Bike Performance Training, on Saturday, June 14th at 10:00am Spencer Cruttenden will host a 45-minute seminar on safe and effective mountain biking exercise, followed by a 45-minute gym session. Anyone can join Saturday’s seminar/gym community event with a simple donation to the High Fives Foundation. All scheduling for Saturday’s event will be done online at www.crjohnson.org/schedule.

“Mountain biking is a large part of my life, and over the years I have realized how important conditioning is to ensure that I am ready for the trails,” said Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Spencer Cruttenden. “I am excited to work with the High Fives Foundation again, and offer Truckee-Tahoe bikers a workout that will truly help them progress.”

Spencer’s class will meet every Wednesday at 5:30 in the CR Johnson Healing Center gym and will cost just $10 for class participants. To kick off Spencer’s class he will host a 45 minute seminar followed by 45 minutes of gym work in a community style event starting at 10:00am on Saturday June14.

TRX Tuesdays with Jessica Moreno

TRX Tuesdays with Jessica Moreno is an exciting new weekly class on Tuesdays at 7:00pm at the CR Johnson Healing Center!

Certified TRX instructor Jessica Moreno will be linking up with the High Fives Foundation to host a weekly TRX Class at 7:00pm every Tuesday at the CR Johnson Healing Center. Jessica’s class, open to anyone and capped at the first five people to sign up online (below), will cost just $10 with a portion of the proceeds going to the High Fives Foundation to help support injured winter sports athletes in recovery. All scheduling for the Tuesday evening TRX Class will go through the CR Johnson Healing Center’s scheduling site at www.crjohnson.org/schedule.
