The SNOCRU mobile application software company has launched a fundraising campaign for the High Fives Foundation in which $0.50 will be donated for every “High 5” that users of the SNOCRU application complete on mobile devices from December 22-28, 2013.
SNOCRU is a free, mobile application available via the Google Play Store or iTunes Store. The unique mobile application offers a great way to stay connected and keep up to date with friends in your “Cru” while playing in the mountains. In addition to staying in the know on snow conditions at all major ski areas, SNOCRU users can keep track of their stats on the snow (or dirt, when biking or hiking). Users can also track their maximum speed, distance, vertical, altitude and number of runs and then share it via social media channels as well as compete for the top spot on the SNOCRU Leaderboards. As an added bonus, the 2,000th “High 5” on the SNOCRU Newsfeed, the High Fives Foundation will award one lucky user with an amazing prize package full great gear from the Foundation.
The SNOCRU Newsfeed is a great way to learn about online contests, new snowfall and other exciting news in the snow sports industry. By giving a “High 5” to a post on the SNOCRU Newsfeed users will enable SNOCRU to donate $0.50 to the High Fives Foundation. Its that simple, for each “High 5” from December 22-28, 2013, a donation will be made to help support the High Fives Foundation and its program services.
“Ever since we installed the ability to ‘High 5’ two years ago in the SNOCRU Newsfeed I’ve had this idea.” Says SNOCRU Founder Ed Lewis “Roy Tuscany of the High Fives Foundation and I have been friends for over 10 years and SNOCRU has been partners with the Foundation for two years now. With the ski / snowboard season off to a great start and the holidays upon us, the timing couldn’t be better! SNOCRU is looking forward to the amazing users of the free mobile app participating in this promotion as we continue contribute to the High Fives Foundation, their athletes, and their great causes!”
