HIGH FIVE #HIGHFIVESATHLETE Quinn Brett FOR ACHIEVING Her FIRST OF FIVE ARCADE BELT GOALS!
#HighFivesAthlete Quinn Brett achieved her goal of purchasing a mountain bike for summer adventures in the Arcade Goal Belt Program. Her target date to accomplish the goal was June 1, 2018, and while she has yet to receive her ReActive Adaptations Bomber mountain bike, she has been borrowing her friends bike to enjoy the trails and roads of Estes Park, CO.
So, I tested three types of bikes, and I went with the Bomber. It should be here in three weeks and I couldn't be more stoked to bike on my own equipment.#HighFivesAthlete Quinn Brett
QUINN BRETT TOOK A 120 FOOT FALL OFF THE BOOT FLAKE ON EL CAPITAN IN YOSEMITE; A FALL THAT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN FATAL. SHE CRATERED INTO TEXAS FLAKE AND EVENTUALLY LANDED IN THE SPACE BETWEEN EL CAP AND TEXAS FLAKE. HER ROPE NEVER TIGHTENED. THE IMPACT SHATTERED QUINN’S RIGHT SCAPULA, BROKE 4 RIBS, BURST FRACTURED HER T12 VERTEBRAE, AND CAUSED A SMALL FRACTURE TO HER L4.
WHEN QUINN ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL IN AGONIZING PAIN, SHE WAS TOLD THAT SHE HAD SUFFERED A SPINAL CORD INJURY AND WAS PARALYZED FROM THE WAIST DOWN.
THE BELT PROGRAM, WHICH IS SIMILAR TO A KARATE BELT SYSTEM, REWARDS HIGH FIVES ATHLETES WITH AN ARCADE BELT CONTAINING A NEW GOLD STAR FOR EACH MILESTONE ACHIEVED. THIS FRAMEWORK IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CLARITY, SUPPORT, COMPETITION AND INSPIRATION FOR OTHERS AS THESE ATHLETES WORK TO REBUILD THEIR LIVES.
