#HighFivesAthlete Quinn Brett achieved her goal of purchasing a mountain bike for summer adventures in the Arcade Goal Belt Program. Her target date to accomplish the goal was June 1, 2018, and while she has yet to receive her ReActive Adaptations Bomber mountain bike, she has been borrowing her friends bike to enjoy the trails and roads of Estes Park, CO.
The reservoir of life grows with time, the drought years and the floods. The water level you see now does not tell the whole story, the ups and the downs. You can read the rings of trees that drink the same water and still, never understand what it took to get here. .#trynewthings . . . #wheelchairlife #climbinglife #biking #highfivesambassador #highfivesathlete @hi5sfoundation @kellybrushfdn @patagonia_climb
So, I tested three types of bikes, and I went with the Bomber. It should be here in three weeks and I couldn't be more stoked to bike on my own equipment.

QUINN BRETT TOOK A 120 FOOT FALL OFF THE BOOT FLAKE ON EL CAPITAN IN YOSEMITE; A FALL THAT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN FATAL. SHE CRATERED INTO TEXAS FLAKE AND EVENTUALLY LANDED IN THE SPACE BETWEEN EL CAP AND TEXAS FLAKE. HER ROPE NEVER TIGHTENED. THE IMPACT SHATTERED QUINN’S RIGHT SCAPULA, BROKE 4 RIBS, BURST FRACTURED HER T12 VERTEBRAE, AND CAUSED A SMALL FRACTURE TO HER L4.
WHEN QUINN ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL IN AGONIZING PAIN, SHE WAS TOLD THAT SHE HAD SUFFERED A SPINAL CORD INJURY AND WAS PARALYZED FROM THE WAIST DOWN.
