#highfivesathlete Mike Pingatore gets barreled for his 2nd Arcade Belt goal

Goal 2: Compete in an adaptive national championship competition

Mike Pingatore has been traveling all over the world in search of surf. From ripping a wave pool in Wales, to a trip to Bali later this year, he’s been ripping all over. Mike was injured in a car accident in February of 2017 near his hometown of Chico, CA. A bad storm with sketchy road conditions caused Mike to hydroplane, and the resulting impact dislocated is L2/L3 vertebrae and caused damage up to T10.

Mike has traveled out to not only to the USA Surfing Championships in California, he has also made his way out to surf competitions in Hawaii and Wales! His travels aren’t stopping there. Later this year he will make his way out to Bali to compete as well. Mike is confident that with these upcoming events, he can make his mark in the world of surfing.

...I'll be 1st in the world sooner than you know it...

The Arcade Belt Program was put in place to provide our athletes with a system for setting goals. Similar to a karate belt system, athletes move through the ranks when they complete goals they set for themselves and receive a belt with stars corresponding to the goal number they accomplish.
