This ski season started for Jenny at Breckenridge Ski Resort, taking lessons and trying to gain confidence in her skills. Mark from Breckenridge Adaptive Ski showed Jenny the ropes and she quickly gained some confidence. Mark brought her out into the backcountry near Mt. Baldy where she had originally learned, and everything came full circle!
I was so scared of falling in the beginning, I was making myself fall from being apprehensive. The team at Breckenridge is infectious with their eagerness to ski and get others out there too.
Jenny’s husband Tom has her back moving forward. Whenever they go out skiing, Tom is right behind her just like her coach was during her lessons at Breckenridge Adaptive Ski. As she gains confidence on the hill, she’ll be able to go faster and be more independent. We can’t wait to see what Jenny does next!
The Arcade Belt Program
The Arcade Belt Program was put in place to provide our athletes with a system for setting goals. Similar to a karate belt system, athletes move through the ranks when they complete goals they set for themselves and receive a belt with stars corresponding to the goal number they accomplish.
