Arcade Belt Program

#highfiveathlete Jean Paul Lauren smashes his first Arcade Belt goal

Goal #1: Ski Big Sky every weekend!

A parachute landing gone wrong back in 2006 hasn’t stopped Jean Paul Lauren from completing his first High Five x Arcade belt goal. JP skied Big Sky every weekend during the 2018-2019 season, and if that wasn’t enough, he even snuck in a few weekdays here and there. With the help of the local university’s ski team, JP has been skiing, working out and swimming in order to stay fit and active.

It might be possible that I am the only blind sit skier in Montana, but we have shown with support we can keep active and skiing!

Losing his sight hasn’t slowed him down one bit, as he plans to shift goals from the slopes of Montana to the salty waters of Hawaii where he will be scuba diving and surfing! High Fives proudly supports him throughout these adventures and we can’t wait to see what accomplishes next!

The Arcade Belt Program was put in place to provide our athletes with a system for setting goals. Similar to a karate belt system, athletes move through the ranks when they complete goals they set for themselves and receive a belt with stars corresponding to the goal number they accomplish.
